We are pleased to announce important news for our customers and partners.
KTL Ukraine has launched a new service, KTL PORT, which connects the Ukrainian port of Reni and the Romanian port of Constanta.
This is our first self-propelled barge, and we see that it’s what the market needs today.
All of our customers have been affected by the blockade on the Polish border and the queues, which have grown to 14-16 days. Realizing this, we, together with our partner, a Ukrainian exporter, decided to follow a path that reduces transit time and allows us to ship cargo in batches.
From Reni to our customers – we will deliver containers by Hermes T transport. For our customers – oil exporters, we have prepared flexitanks imported to provide a full range of services.
Moreover, together with our partner, we are able to provide brokerage services if necessary.
Today the customs department performs more than 20 thousand customs clearances per year in various customs regimes. We carry out customs clearance and have offices in Ukraine: Kyiv and Myronivka (Pivdennyi customs office, Obukhiv), Cherkasy, Ladyzhyn in Vinnytsia region (Haisyn customs office), Lviv (Lviv North Malekhiv customs office) and Odesa (6 km).
We are in the process of obtaining EUR1 certificates and general form certificates of origin (CT1).
Which benefits will this service bring to our clients and partners?
✔ fast and safe delivery in conditions when there are long queues at the borders;
✔ simplified customs clearance procedure for cargo transit
✔ the possibility of loading containers with a greater weight than the permissible weight for container trucks during land delivery to Romania;
✔ all terminal and maintenance services are provided and guaranteed by KTL Ukraine;
✔ maximum chain of services in case of your need.
For now, the vessel will operate on the line between the ports of Constanta (Romania – both terminals) and Reni (Ukraine).
In addition, on 14.12.2023, we are replacing the self-propelled container barge Petran with a more spacious Bolero.
As a next step, we are planning a second vessel with a capacity of 522 TEU, which will be operated by sea.
Description of the service and additional services:
📌route: Port of Constanta (SOCHEP) – Port of Reni – Port of Constanta (DP WORLD) – Port of Constanta (SOCHEP);
📌Scheduled vessel call: every 10 days
📌Vessel tonnage: 5200 tons that will be increased in a few weeks
📌Vessel type: self-propelled container barge
📌Vessel’s flag: Romania
📌Vessel capacity: 500 TEU in the loaded state
📌The vessel has 60 sockets for connection of 40’REFF
📌The vessel can carry containers of different lines as “MERCHANT DELIVERY”, if there are no prohibitions from the sea lines.
Empty containers of the lines will be picked up at the DP World and SOCHEP terminals in the port of Constanta.
The vessel and terminal operations are fully operated by KTL Ukraine. 💙💛
